"My tongue is smiling". Such a cute line from "Alice, Let’s Eat" by Calvin Trillin. He quoted his four year old daughter Abigail happy with her chocolate ice cream. What makes your tongue all smiley? Mine just needs a cup of good coffee and something sweet...

...and a little bit of this to induce big smiles all over...
A lovely line. Cute, indeed! Mine is smiling too. ;-P

ReplyDeleteCoffee and sweets--perfect together. Your blog makes me smile : )
ReplyDeleteFerry building? But then I don't recognize where the window with the cameras would be...
ReplyDeleteBut in any case, love that shot of the coffee dripping.
the last one is from somewhere on Valencia Street...Paxton Gate maybe...can't remember :)
ReplyDeleteM, I'm smiling:) I think you nailed it... great coffee, sugary treat, and cameras... all good to me!

"my tongue is smiling" - what a cute line!
ReplyDeleteSweets, coffee, and camera, what a perfect trio :).
I'll take all four cups please. Awesome =)
ReplyDeleteWhat's your favorite coffee accompaniment?
ReplyDeletewhat a cute post. i love how geometric the first two shots are. it's a really fun idea to play with a quote as inspiration. let's see, my tongue smiles for individually wrapped caramels, dark chocolate, silky lattes, just about anything infused with rose or lavender. and beautiful photography such as this, of course. :)
ReplyDeletei love the way this post was constructed... with the surprise photo at the end. i've been contemplating more and more reasons my tongue has to smile. here is an abridged list: caramel and chocolate, peanut butter and chocolate, coconut and chocolate, mint and chocolate, berries and chocolate, marshmallow and chocolate, espresso and chocolate... anyone noticing a trend here??
