Here is a sneak peek of a fun project I've been working on, a stop motion animation or rather my attempt at it.
I've always been fascinated by this technique and wondered if I could create anything of that sort on my own.
One afternoon, while I was making an apple tart, I mounted my old Nikon D70 on a tripod and using wireless remote I shot hundreds of pictures. My hubby converted all the photos and synchronized them with music using Vegas Pro.
I can't even describe how exciting it was to see all those still images "come to life"!
Now we're working on the ending, can't wait to see it finished.
I know, it is a little amateurish but it made us smile, so it's all worth it!
The music we used here is by Allie Moss from her "Late Bloomer" album, which I've been listening to obsessively.
Hope you all had a great weekend.

ReplyDeleteMonika! So so fun! As I watched your movie I thought of the first post of yours I ever saw... that one with a series of photos of you passing out from a chocolate o.d. I guess you were making movies even then:)

thank you guys for all of your kind words,
ReplyDeleteit's just a work in progress, but I really wanted to share what I've got so far...something fun to do over the weekend.
E, I remember that post, had so much fun taking those silly pictures :)
Monica, if you do not you post on your blog the next part of the movie I'll be unhappy! I want to see what happened to the cake! But to the point, the movie is great and the music is super good! Now I have a lot of work but it's always nice to visit your blog, relax and listen to such great music. I must admit that this post is like a wine that is running on the all senses.
ReplyDeleteKate, it will be ready soon :)
ReplyDeleteThis post just showed up in my reader today. Very cool. Looking forward to seeing the ending.

i am crazy about this project! you really captured the beauty and simplicity of the ingredients and allowed the rustic nature of the tart to dance with your knack for bringing together colors and textures that tell a story. i love how playful you got with this. the song selection is beyond perfect. i can't wait for the conclusion of this piece. this is so well done.
ReplyDeleteJ, thank you...
ReplyDeleteit's always great to hear from you :)
Any idea when this piece will be done? I'm eagerly awaiting.
